For this proposal, I approached the Dubai Humanitarian 2025 Annual Report as more than just a publication — I saw it as a brand statement. My goal was to create a design that feels strong, structured, and globally relevant, while still carrying the human warmth that defines their work. I developed two distinct cover directions and built clean, well-balanced interior layouts that emphasize clarity, impact, and scale through thoughtful typography, grid systems, and purposeful imagery. I also extended the concept into packaging, offering both a premium clamshell box and a more sustainable kraft option to reinforce the values of excellence and environmental responsibility. I wanted the report to feel elevated, intentional, and memorable — a piece that reflects Dubai Humanitarian’s leadership and lasting global impact.
COVER
DESIGN
In this cover design option, I utilized Dubai Humanitarian’s organizational colors in a gradient that exudes dynamism. Circular elements that are highlighted through the use of spot UV in print represent the global scope of the organization’s operations. As part of the requirements of the brief, the whole publication is printed in both English and Arabic, and combined as parts of the same book; the back cover mirrors the front.

In this second cover design option, the repeating circular elements are more emphasized through the use of gradient outlines. The color palette for this design is more muted.

SECTION
LAYOUTS
The use of gradients continues throughout the design of the sections included in the publication.

PACKAGING
DESIGN
In designing the packaging for the publication, two aspects were considered: the sustainability of the material to be used and the premium feel and look of it. The first option is a matte clamshell box with a spot UV treatment.

The second option I presented is made up of a folded kraft box with white print for the design. This option leans more towards using a sustainable option in packaging the book.
